That's a great quote. We recently started composting. With just the two of us, we don't create too much waste from our kitchen, but at least it's a little less going to the landfill.
Ah yes, Happy Earth Day. A nice reminder and appropriate quote.
I compost and recycle everything I can and put out a less than half full trash can each week. And yet my town still charges us weekly encouraging everyone to fill 'er up rather than compost. They don't get it.
great quote!! here in japan, each city has their own laws/ordinances dealing with recycling...some cities are more strict, some less. here in nagasaki, we have 4 different trash bags....you must separate your trash.....if you don't use the designated bags, the trash guys will not pick them up and you have to walk the "walk of shame" to go and pick it up from the trash area....and yes, they do know whose trash is whose!! it's sometimes a pain to do all this but....desperate times call for this.

We all need to do what we can!
Feel free to visit my Saturday Snapshot
Important to think about, and sadly no recycle bins.
We both posted pictures of garbage today.
Sad,huh?
Great reminder that we all need to be mindful of our waste. Love the quote.
