Wake Up!

Here are two banana-licious songs to energize you during the Monday mid-day slump. Or in case you may be experiencing some "stirrings in your upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves..." then by all means, dance on.

And one for all the baby bananas out there:

sass appeal

Loved Hailee Steinfeld's performance as Mattie Ross in True Grit.

LaBoeuf: You give out very little sugar with your pronouncements. While I sat there watchin' I gave some thought to stealin' a kiss... though you are very young, and sick... and unattractive to boot. But now I have a mind to give you five or six good licks with my belt.
Mattie Ross: One would be just as unpleasant as the other.

LaBoeuf: I've just come from Yell County.
Mattie Ross: We have no rodeo clowns in Yell County.
LaBoeuf: A saucy line will not get you far with me.

On Movies - Unforgettable

This week Molly over at the Bumbles Blog is pondering those moments from past Oscars that stand out in our memories. Although I watched last night's Oscars from start to finish, it's already fading (the vision of James Franco in drag as Marilyn can not fade quickly enough). Pretty boring actually. No surprises. But, there are a few moments from previous years that stand out:

You like me. You really, really like me.
Roberto Benigni -- Life is Beautiful!
Adrien Brody gives Halle Berry a big Hollywood kiss.

How I wish Sandra would have gone 'Adrien Brody' on Colin Firth last night.

For the person who has everything

Except taste...

"Keep your door open to Sense of Humour! Enjoyable banana peel-shaped doorstopper. Don't let its slippery appearance deceive you, actually it is not slippery!"

Sure, open the door to sense of humor but tacky is right there riding shotgun.
